June

It's June!  I'm still unemployed and waiting for someone to give me money.  I check the mail everyday but still nothing.  It's summertime now and I don't want to get a job.  I mean, I don't want to waste my summer working. I've been out of a job for so long now that it's starting to become embarrassing.

Got a question for you.  What do you do with your old computer games and old software?  Do you just throw it out? I was going through the tons of crap I have stacked everywhere.  I threw out so many dics with old programs, drivers, restore discs from computers long gone (that had windows 95/98 on them), and installation files for hardware that I probably don't even have anymore. And a bunch of old games. Some games I never even played. Most of them were copied and I just never got around to playing them. I had a bunch of instruction manuals and installation guides and random paperwork that got tossed also.

Also, what did you do with your music cassettes?  I have a shitload of them and they are taking up valuable space. I don't even have a player anymore, oh wait, i think i have a walkman somewhere.  but seriously, did you just store them or toss them? Do you even know what a cassette tape is?

I wish I had the money I paid for all the stuff I'm going to throw out.

I wish I had any money.

  1. It’s interesting you bring this up, because I recently threw away 2 large boxes full of computer parts and software. I couldn’t believe the stuff I had, I know I threw away at least 6 internal modems. Driver diskettes, cd’s with games that only play on DOS, video cards, many sound cards, hard drives that were less than 5 gig. I had a collection of PC Gamer cd’s, at least 50 of them, I threw them all out. I didn’t think I really needed to hang onto the shareware version of Duke Nukem 3D.

  2. I know what you mean. I haven’t gone through the drawer’s of old hardware yet. All the stuff that I thought I “might need someday”. You never end up needing it. Or you need it, forget you have it, and buy a new one.
I don’t know what to do with my music cassettes.
